Hi lovelies, today I thought I’d show you how to turn some of your basic wardrobe staples into a chic little outfit!
Firstly – a pair of blue skinny jeans.
An absolute wardrobe must! Whether you’re dressing them up with heels and a nice top, or down with a tee and trainers, you just need a pair. I’d be shocked to find anyone who doesn’t own a pair of these!
I wore my mid-rise Acne jeans but there are a similar high street alternative from ASOS, here.
Secondly – a white boyfriend tee.
Whether it’s crew neck, round neck or v neck – you just need a PWT as it’s such a versatile piece of clothing.
I wore a v neck boyfriend tee from Missguided, which you can grab here for only £8!
But I know right, pairing these two things together may seem a bit boring huh? But it’s what you do next that matters!
You want something that will stand out against your staples – whether it’s patterned, coloured or embellished, it will work! Blazers and more tailored jackets are always great to give that chic vibe to an outfit and so I chose to wear my gorgeous Topshop gingham blazer. Not only is it patterned and brings the outfit to life, but it also has some of the cutest frills on the sleeves!
Here are a few gorgeous jackets I LOVE and would also achieve this look perfectly:
Boohoo navy floral blazer
Here is your chance to get inventive with your outfit! Whether it’s with a coloured loafer, a metallic mule or some pointy booties, choose a shoe that really compliments your outfit.
I wore my ASOS metallic embellished mules which you can find here. I absolutely love these because they bring a bit of fun to the outfit. I mean come on, that embellishment is too cool for words!
Lastly, it’s time to accessorise!
I love to layer necklaces together and thats exactly what I did here. I wore a metallic choker from Newlook and a short pendant necklace from H&M, which look super cute together and with the v neck tee.
Of course, I had my Skagen watch on my wrist and my Aspinal bag in hand.
What do you think of the outfit?
I’d love to know your thoughts so please drop me a comment in the box below (it’s riiiiiiight at the bottom of the page)!
