Totally Clueless

Ugh, AS IF!

If you didn’t already know, it’s time to channel your inner Cher Horowitz and all the clueless vibes because check is HUUUUUGE for autumn! So whether it’s plaid, prince of Wales or tartan, you need it in your wardrobe for the coming season.

Check skirts in particular are having such a moment right now. With their cute preppy school vibes they are an absolute must-have and I am totally loving them right now. Don’t worry though, if you wear it in the right way you’ll avoid looking like you’re on your way to school (this is especially important for me because although I’m 27, I look like I’m in year 9 HAHA).

So how, you might be wondering?

For now, whilst the weather is still warmer, pair your check skirt with a slogan/pattern tee and converse/trainers. Accessorise with a small across body bag or mini backpack. For ultimate Cher vibes, chuck on a matching blazer for good measure!

(Monki, Lasula and Topshop have some great check jacket/skirt combos!)

When it gets a bit colder, pair your check skirt with a big chunky oversized knit, ankle boots and a leather jacket. Accessorise with layered necklaces, a mini backpack and some hosiery (whether it’s tights or some super cute ankle socks).
